Some thoughts

Sometimes there are things that need to be said that are best done (and articulated) by others.

On the d.i.y. music circuit, this post is completely spot on and shares the same queries I have in regards to such shows. I saw Rand & Holland a few weeks ago with support from Seaworthy at a small warehouse space in St. Peters. If perhaps you knew of both bands you would’ve realised they fall into two complete genres, quite distinct and thus making for an intriguing night.

Here are the only photos I took that night.

I’m not quite sure if I recapped Chain Gang‘s show at Cosmos Rock Lounge, another small warehouse space in Marrickville. Supported by pop band, The Detours and punk rock band (and regulars on the d.i.y. circuit) Halal, How Are You? it proved to be a fun and successful night for the organisers. Maybe the tides in regards to d.i.y. shows are already changing but these things go relatively unnoticed. There are more photos here.

On the verge of another Sydney Design week, here is an article ALL designers need to read. And that’s only part one!

I did have something else to say but it has escaped my mind. Hm.

Hey Roanna, those photos are really great! It was an awesome night though I couldn’t see anything during most of R&Hs gig, so these are helpful.
